Our Story

Katelijnestraat 94 is an old building on one of those narrow Bruges streets where the cobblestones are worn smooth. We turned it into a handful of apartments because, frankly, we thought most accommodation in this city was missing the point.

Hotels here tend to either drown you in velvet curtains and breakfast buffets, or shove you into a box with a keycard. We wanted something in between, a place with actual character, where the brick walls have been standing for centuries, but the coffee machine works and the WiFi doesn't cut out.

There's no reception desk. You get a door code, you let yourself in, and that's it. We set it up this way on purpose. Bruges is a small city. You don't need a concierge to tell you where to find good chocolate. Just walk outside. You're five minutes from Minnewater Lake, ten from the Markt. The whole centre is your living room.

Most of our guests come for a weekend, couples mostly, but also families and the occasional solo traveller who just wants a quiet base. We keep the apartments simple and comfortable, and we stay out of the way. That's the whole idea, really.
